PhotonRoof - photovoltaic roof tiles are products of a Polish technology companyML System, which enable every designer and contractor – whether constructing a new building or renovating an old one – to create aesthetic, practical, and unique designs that incorporate the requirements of solar energy technology.

A breakthrough in roofing technology - PhotonRoof – the solar roof tile
This solution combines the benefits and durability of traditional roof tiles with the functionality of generating free electrical energy and improved thermal insulation. The innovative design pattern of the roof tile, composed of carefully engineered micro-components, allows for high energy yields.

Solar architecture, which involves the use of materials that produce free and emission-free energy, is a new reality that merges functionality and business efficiency with environmental responsibility. PhotonRoof - photovoltaic roof tiles is of interest to designers, investors, and contractors. Why? Primarily because they serve as a source of free electrical energy, an inexhaustible reservoir of architectural inspiration, and an effective tool in the fight against climate change.

The producer of PV roof tiles under the PhotonRoof brand is ML System, a highly specialized technology company that owns its own production facility equipped with a modern machine park and a robust R&D infrastructure featuring world-class laboratory equipment. Since 2018, it has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It develops groundbreaking technologies that are the perfect response to the current needs of the energy transformation process – shifting from conventional to renewable energy sources. The products offered by ML System are used in traditional roof and ground-mounted photovoltaic installations, sustainable construction, land and water transportation, as well as in the automotive industry.

In 2021, the company launched the world's first production line for transparent glass with a quantum coating that generates electrical energy from the sun. This event, dubbed the 'quantum revolution in global construction,' was one of the elements of the Company's announced 'new quantum era' strategy, opening up new possibilities and applications for glass in the BIPV and automotive industries. ML System's activities perfectly align with the trends and expectations of the photovoltaic market in Poland and worldwide, which, due to rising energy prices combined with falling PV technology costs—resulting in a relatively quick return on investment—is experiencing dynamic growth. The BIPV elements produced by ML System not only serve as an aesthetic, protective component of a building's finish but, more importantly, act as an active source of electrical energy harnessed from the sun. Additionally, they improve the building's thermal insulation properties, making it energy efficient.

Combating climate change is one of the greatest challenges of the modern world. As buildings are currently the main energy consumers—and this trend is expected to continue—this challenge is primarily faced by the construction industry. Global leaders are increasingly recognizing the potential of investing in green energy technologies for both new and existing buildings, seeing it as an opportunity to achieve greenhouse gas reduction targets. Energy efficiency in buildings has become a key deciding factor for architects and designers guided by the principles of sustainable development and by the need to protect future generations and the environment. The company sees many opportunities for further growth through the creation of new, innovative solutions. A testament to the quality and validity of ML System's innovations is reflected in the patents obtained over the past several years – by mid-2024, 19 patents have been granted, with 7 additional applications pending review.

Since its inception, the company has consistently increased its share in both the domestic and export markets. ML System products are particularly sought after by partners from countries with high ecological awareness and a strong understanding of the economic benefits of photovoltaic solutions. The company is present in many European markets, as well as in Australia and North America, and in the near future, it plans to further strengthen its presence outside of Poland, ultimately aiming to become one of the most globally recognized brands in its industry.
